Get approval on a request
Speed up the approval process on your licensing requests. A request that has at least one object with usage rights attached can be shared with anyone for approval.
A request can be shared from two locations:
From a Project
- Click into a project.
- Find the request you would like to share.
- Click the ⋯ (ellipsis) and select Share request from the dropdown.
From the Request Details Page

Click the Share Request button on the bottom navbar.
Share a request
- In both instances, a modal opens:
- You can customize the Email Subject and Message, and see an email preview.
- Click Share Request to share the request or Cancel to return to the project or request page.
- If Share Request is selected, an information modal appears with a sent confirmation message.
- Project/Request status will now have a value of IN PROGRESS. Object/Pricing status will have a value of PENDING.
- Changes can be made to the request and reshared via the Resend Request button on the request details page or via the ⋯ (ellipsis) > Resend Request from a request in a project.
After a request has been shared with a requestee, there are a few possible outcomes: The request is approved, rejected, canceled or modifications are needed. All possibilities are outlined below.
Recipient has approved the request
The contact you sent the request to has accepted the request. You will now review the price and any restrictions they set.
- Click Review Request.
- A preview of the request opens.
- Review the pricing and restrictions set. Choose one of the following:
Reject Request You reject the price/restrictions set. Suggest Changes You require modifications to the price/restrictions. Accept You accept the price/restrictions set.
ACCEPT
- Click Accept on the preview page.
- A confirmation modal will open. Click Accept to confirm or Cancel to exit without saving.
- If Accept was selected, an information modal appears confirming that the contact has been notified of the acceptance.
- Click Return to Request.
- The price and objects now have a status of Approved.
SUGGEST CHANGES
- Click Suggest Changes on the preview page.
- A message modal opens. Include a message for the recipient of the suggested changes.
- Click Send Request to send or Cancel to exit without saving.
- If Send Request was selected, an informational message appears confirming that the recipient will be notified of the suggested changes.
- Click Return to Request to exit.
REJECT CHANGES
- Click Reject Request on the preview page.
- A confirmation modal will open. Click Cancel to exit without saving, Reject Request to reject, or Suggest Changes to request modification be made to the request.
- If Reject Request was selected, a message modal opens. Select why you are rejecting the request and include an optional message for the recipient.
- Click Reject Request to confirm or Cancel to exit without saving. An informational message appears confirming that the recipient will be notified the request was rejected.
- Click Return to Request to exit. The request will have a status of Rejected and the price and objects a status of Not Approved. You can still view a preview of the rejected request by clicking Preview Request from the ⋮ More Actions dropdown.
- A preview of the request will open. Click Exit Preview to exit and return to the request.
Recipient rejected the request
The contact you sent the request to has rejected the request. You will receive an email notification informing you that the request has not been approved and you can still view a preview of the rejected request.
- To view a rejected request select the request from the request list.
- To view a preview of the rejected request select ⋮ More Actions > Preview request from the request.
- A preview of the request will open. Click Exit Preview to exit preview mode.
Recipient has suggested changes
If the recipient has suggested changes to the request, you will be notified via email of the changes requested. If changes suggested are ok, you can modify the request and resend it to reflect updates to the recipient.
Request canceled
You can cancel the request at any time during the request workflow.
- To cancel from the request list, select ⋮ > Cancel request.
- To cancel from the request details page, select ⋮ More Actions > Cancel request.
